NBA Kicks: Ranking the Air Jordan 9 “Johnny Kilroy” Pack, Amir Johnson rocks “Motorboat Jones”

2014 - January 13 - 3b So it’s been close to a year and a half since we first heard about Jordan Brand’s plans to expand the legend of ~~Michael Jordan~~ Johnny Kilroy and his various alter egos. From Kilroy to Fontay Montana to Bentley Ellis, it was a tale of a man who just couldn’t get enough of the game of basketball even though he was living comfortably as a weak-hitting, Double-A outfielder with a below average arm. Was it a stretch to turn a nearly 20-year old Super Bowl commercial into a full set of kicks? Perhaps, but sneakerheads ate up every story and colorway of the Kilroy Pack, eagerly anticipating each release.

Not surprisingly, in the time since there have been debates as to which was the best colorway in the Kilroy pack. So in the interest of fun and because Amir Johnson wore the Air Jordan 9 “Motorboat Jones” last night (also because it was a slow night for NBA Kicks), here is our unofficial (yet kinda official because some of you take this way too seriously) ranking of the Air Jordan 9 “Kilroy” Pack along with some NBA guys who have rocked them.
